Highland Residents Association

The Residents’ Association is there for anyone who lives in the Highland Council area and would like to hold the council to account and / or speak up for those of us who live here. We are under a lot of pressure from rampant exploitation of our land and communities by unrestricted over-tourism and industrialisation for electricity generation and storage and mobile data networks. The Inverness ‘freeport’ is another cause for concern, as it will suck economic activity and jobs out of the rural highlands and add to the managed decline and withdrawal of public services in the so-called ‘remote’ rural areas.

The group is growing but needs volunteers to help with its co-ordination and management. Please consider offering whatever time or skills you feel you can spare.
